The Ideal Garden Maintenance Method

In garden maintenance, it is known that there is an ideal maintenance, which is an effort to maintain the purpose and function of the garden so that it is in accordance with its original purpose and function. This effort also supports the development of designs to improve the quality of the park. It includes efforts to develop positive attitudes and garden users, for example, the emergence of a sense of affection for the garden, cleanliness, and a sense of pride in owning it. The existence of this positive attitude can prevent the destruction of the garden, therefore, ideal maintenance needs attention. Maintenance, which will be described further, has 8 (eight) stages, including area cleaning, watering, fertilizing, pruning, watering and loosening, controlling pests and diseases, and replanting.

  1. Garden Area Cleaning
  2. It serves to make the garden more appreciated by others, also reflects the owner's concern for cleanliness & health aspects. A clean garden certainly eliminates the user's doubts to mingle in it. Sources of garden dirt can come from fallen leaves, or garbage disposal.

  3. Watering Plants
  4. Watering is an indispensable factor for growth plant. Lack of water at a certain time will result in dry & dead plants. Keep in mind, that plants can be distinguished between those that require little, medium and lots of water. Watering should be done regularly according to the type of plant so that unwanted things do not arise

  5. Fertilizing Plants
  6. Plant fertilization is necessary because it is basically a plant require nutrients for growth that come from and in the soil Even though these nutrients are actually already available in the soil, sometimes the fertility of the soil is not able to keep up with the needs of plant growth, therefore fertilization is necessary. Trees, shrubs and grasses have their own rules for fertilization, both in terms of the type of fertilizer and the amount of its use.

  7. Pruning Plants
  8. Pruning plants are needed because pruning (pruning) is very influential on the quality of plant growth. This pruning has a variety of purposes, which we can explore in more detail on another occasion.

  9. Plant Weeding
  10. Weeding aims to remove nuisance plants (weeds) around the plants being maintained. These types of nuisance plants, for example, weeds or unwanted spinach. These nuisance plants are detrimental to the main plants that are maintained, for example taking nutrients, causing competition, or competition for the use of sunlight. In addition, visually nuisance plants greatly degrade the quality of the garden. Weeding can be done manually by pulling it out by hand one by one or using herbicides.

  11. Loosening Plant Soil
  12. Soliding is a way to improve the condition of the soil so that it conditions of granulation, soil air, and groundwater remain good. This work is usually done at the same time as weeding. Loose soil is necessary for optimum plant growth. The expanse of grass also needs to be loosened, namely in a unique way from a team of experienced gardeners.

  13. Disease Pest Control
  14. Pest and disease control does not mean only direct eradication, but also includes preventive measures against them. Preventive measures can be taken by improving the state of the home garden environment to keep it clean and healthy. Dirty garden environment, damp, and lack of sunlight is very good for the growth of pests and plant diseases. Eradication can be done manually, or using pesticides.

  15. Plant Embroidery
  16. Plant embroidery is done to replace plants that have died, are disabled, or have finished their growth period. Embroidery is done with due regard to the designs that have been made. This method allows us to replace plants with other types and previously planted. Embroidery plants can come from outside, namely buying from a nursery or cultivating plant seeds themselves. Prunes of plant material that are easy to cut can be used as embroidery plants.
